Jerry Lieber/Mike Stoller

I have been listening to alot of their music and am starting to realize that they had a real creative genius that wasnt always apparent in their major hits. There is almost something dark sinister and chantlike about some of their songs while being colorful and bright. They reallly pushed the envelope with their ideas.
I think the Exciters its so exciting is a good example of how futuristic they were it is almost dub step type reggae and hip hop rap before those genres were even thought of.
Ben Kings Horizon is a good example of their dark eery side. There is something dissonant about the vocals in parts and instrumental melody together but it is so beautiful.The harmonies at 1:35 sound slightly demonic and i love it.
