There has begun a 48-hour tribute to Clark Terry ( who died yesterday at the incredible age of 94 ) on WKCR.

How coincidental! I just posted in another thread how Ray Brown was in the Merv Griffin TV Show band. I believe that Clark Terry was in the same band. So sorry to hear of his passing. Merv had one hell of a band -- as did Johnny Carson.

I'm back... I got that wrong! Clark Terry was in Johnny's band -- not Merv's. Ray Brown was in Merv's band.
