I have just discovered that Johnny Mathis "Ten times forever more" was a cover.
The original version of the song (unfortunately without Burt contribution) was sung by Eddy Arnold.
The song is on Eddy Arnold cd "Each road I take - The 1970 Lee Hazlewood Chet Atkins Sessions"

Although this is decidedly NOT one of B&D's greatest songs it would still be interesting to hear Eddy Arnold's recording of it, especially as it was produced by Chet Atkins. It couldn't possibly be more dreary than the Johnny Mathis version, could it?

The song is not the best work of the B&D team. And the Arnold version is a little bit more country music than Mathis cover.
Unfortunately we couldn't listen to the song with the Burt touch ...

I agree that it`s not one of their best but I still like it better than "What the World Needs Now", one of their most obnoxiously over-rated.
