But i must say Legrand's music is
as beautiful as BB and this

so deeply (i was about the same age
as that teenager in the movie at the time) that tears flowed whenever i see this clip

No apologies necessary from my end.....I believe beautiful spirits gravitate to like kinds. I adore "How Do you Keep The Music Playing" So much I used to wish Burt had written it lol. There are so many. I wonder if Burt also loves his music? Have you ever heard johnny Mathis sing it? SOOOO beautiful.

Yes, at the age of 15, i was knocked off by Legrand's music when i watched Noel Harrison's
singing "Windmills of Your mind"
in the film "Thomas Crown Affair"

And then music from "GO Between"
, "Brian's song" , "Yentl" ...
etc etc etc fascinated me.
His melodies were so beautiful.

There were one or two songs he
colloborated with the other
French composer Francis Lai
(who could forget LOVE STORY).

I wonder what it will be like if
Legrand and Bacharach write a song
together.

Michel Legrand's music is timeless. I had heard some of his songs before, but never knew the composer's name. Thank you for the heads up! I will definitely be purchasing some of his work in the coming weeks.

A collaboration between Bacharach and Legrand would be amazing. But I imagine that they prefer to work alone on their music.

Thanks Again! Legrand's compositions are absolutely gorgeous.

Do go ahead ang buy some Legrand. He's just great. I can't find several of my favorite Legrand albuns for sale on CD, but Warm Shade of Memory is excellent. Bacharach, Legrand, Sondheim, Jobim and Milton Nascimento (check out the reviews for Clube da Esquina, for example, at Amazon.com) are my favorites.
