The Burt Bacharach Discussion Forum

I'll tell you what that is: A few years ago, on "Saturday Night Live" (which is a long-running comedy sketch show on NBC [just in case you're from another country I say this]), they did a take-off on Burt. This might have been around the time Burt was on American Idol (but I'm not sure about the timing). [In any event, the timing notwithstanding, Burt is an American icon and his music is well known to everyone.] Anyway, I hadn't seen it, but I heard about it, so thanks for the link. Obviously, they were ribbing Burt, and, as usual, it was very lame (which is what SNL's skits have turned into, for quite a long while now).
