Stephanie Mills For The First Time

I just found out about this album from 1975-_Stephanie Mills first *major* album and apparantly the last one David/bacharach collaborated on (so sayw allmusic guide). Is it any good? Any of it available on CD? Are they new tracks or covers?

Most of the album contained new songs by the duo, I think new were covers of Dionne cuts. I think the album generally recieved good reviews, but it did not sell well. Some have said Burt really was not that interested and Hal basically did most of the production work.

Dismissive assessments aside, only NO Bacharach is bad Bacharach! There are some terrific songs here, and, although the songs which Dionne never recorded would probably have been better served by her, I'm thankful that they were recorded at all. By all means, seek out this album.
