Burt Bacharach to perform four nights at Blue Note Hawaii
Just received confirmation that Burt will play a four-night residency this fall at Blue Note Hawaii. The dates are Oct. 12-15. These shows are the latest in a series of smaller venue concerts Burt has been performing in the last few years, so if the idea of seeing Burt in the more intimate setting of a jazz club appeals to you (and if you’re able to get yourself to Honolulu), by all means make plans to attend. New album featuring Burt and Tonio K . demos
On May 15, Contante & Sonante, an independent label based in Madrid, released Burt Bacharach and Tonio K: Original Demos, a new CD containing 14 original songs written by Burt and Tonio K. between 1995 and 2008. The album includes the original studio demos for songs later recorded by artists including Chicago, Randy Travis, Diane Schuur, Dionne Warwick, Ron Isley and Burt himself. The release also features extensive liner notes from Tonio K. telling the detailed story behind each composition and demo session.
