I purposely excluded Neil Diamond's version of Do You Know The Way To San Jose since I had posted a link to that song on the Some Do’s And Don’ts thread just last week. Thought it might be a bit redundant. But it was very thoughtful of you to point out the omission.

Alistair, Gabba. Ron and Steve…
I have been lucky enough, over the years, to have met and befriended a few collectors (many, members of this very forum), a few people well connected in the music business and a few connected directly to Mr. Bacharach who have been gracious enough to either share, trade or sell me portions of their own collections.
As time went by it became evident to me that having a computer full of MP3 files of Mr. Bacharach’s oeuvre wasn’t doing me any good to hold on to selfishly. It was then I decided the best thing to do was to “share the wealth†with the true fans (such as yourselves) who love and honor his work as much as I do.
I have, in the past, taken some grief from other forum members for “showboating†or trying to become a†platinum memberâ€(I think that was the phrase used) by sharing my collection here. I have only tried to quietly share what I can without fanfare or drawing attention to myself with my postings. It got so bad at one point I entertained the idea of withdrawing from the forum altogether., but the reasoning behind the criticism was so obvious and transparent.
I have always believed this forum was (or should be) all about the music and Mr. Bacharach’s genius.
I will continue to share, as I am able, and I greatly appreciate your confirmation the tunes aren’t falling on deaf ears.
Viva la Bacharach,
Keith

Joe- "Hear Hear" on the Dionne sung Painted From Memory. From the first time I ever heard that CD (hard to believe it's been 9 years ago) I longed to hear Miss Warwick's versions of those remarkable tunes. I understand why Burt choose Elvis Costello (besides the obvious) but just the idea ...

Pagano Play List
Joe-
In this contributor’s humble opinion your assessment of New Music is “right on†Target (pun intended). Your idea of a Bacharach produced and written John Pagano CD is just... brilliant! Since Pagano seems to be the interrupter of choice these days.
I love the idea of 4 ‘classics’ (Wives and Lovers, A House Is Not A Home, This Guy’s In Love and Any Day Now). 4 covers (After All. What Love Can Do, I’ve Got My Mind Made Up and Us) Leaving room for 4 new songs. That’s just my idea for a play list. I , for one, would love to hear other Forum members ideas of their perfect Pagano play list.
