Hi Gang,
Burt wrote a theme for an epsiode of Dr. Kildare, I believe it was
a 2 or 3 parter, back in the early 60's....
Film Score Monthly has put out a cd of the original tv soundtracks from
the old tv show...and on the following page you can hear part of Burt's theme "ROme Will Never Leave You" as used for underscore....done along with composer/arranger Mort Stevens....
go to Disc 3 - cuts 14 and 15.The brilliant music for this show is now avaiable for purchase on their website.
Ciao,
Steveo

Dear Vince,
I am doing well, ty...and hope you are too! Upon listening to this beautiful music from Burt and Mort Stevens, I am saddened that the
physical scores of this music along with thousands of others were tossed into a landfill in 1969 by one of the acting heads of MGM....Their entire music library, with the exception of the "conductor parts"(piano reductions of the scores) were tossed for "space"... Since then, and partially because of this, many film preservationists became active in encouraging the remaining studios to "preserve"their old music scores for scholars and "posterity"
Steveo
P.S. Give my best to Burt when you see him.
