steveo: Good call, know the song well. It's a goodie!
Re: Burt & Brian (again)
Wasn't it said on this forum that Burt was a co-writer of What Love Can Do?
Now, judging from all the written information found by following the links, it looks like he had nothing to do with the song.
After we see a musician playing harmonica, I see someone at the back, in a booth, who looks a lot like Burt.

Re: Burt & Brian (again)
Thanks, Steveo.
I will write this on the comments to that youtube video.
I always complain that most of us don't seem to care about expressing our opinions about Burt and his work when we have a chance -- at least somewhere other than in this forum. I sure hope the forum isn't keeping us from doing more of that.
Sometimes people here refer to a Youtube video related to Burt in an important way. It is a great video, with a great song, beautifully interpreted, and the person who posted here certainly thought so. But I look, and I look again later, and there's not even a single rating of the video.
Is there a reason not to be more outspoken about Burt and his work in a polite, respectful way -- one that would draw more people to his work while alienating none?
(BTW, I am grateful for Steveo's help and to those who point me in the direction of great Youtube videos. I just wish to make sure that, besides all else it does for us, this forum helps multiply our influence, rather than the opposite.)

Re: Burt & Brian (again)
It's too bad that 429 Records isn't publicizing Burt's involvement with the song...the last record company that held the rights (and got the song and CD into Target stores) certainly did. Let's hope interest in this re-release will help the remaining 2 songs composed by the Bacharach/Wilson/Krikorian (aka Tonio K) team see the light of day. (I'm unsure as to whether they've even been recorded yet.)

Samples of the CD songs.
And (addtional?) evidence of misinformation by the record company.
