Dusty & Burt on DVD

Post by grooverider »

For those lucky ones with a region 2 DVD player, Reelin' In the Years Productions has released a documentary DVD entitled, "Once Upon A Time 1964 - 1969" by Dusty Springfield that includes an interview with Burt Bacharach (I believe this is a new interview, but I'm not sure).
A big treat is the inclusion of their collaboration on "A House Is Not A Home" from an appearance by Burt on her show from 1968. I believe this is the first time this collaboration has been available since the VHS entitled, "Full Circle: the Life & Music of Dusty Springfield".
Again, this is being released on Region 2 (Europe) and I can only hope they decide to also release it on Region 1 (USA) soon.

Dear Blue, Thank you, thank you! What a great 'teaser' that was from youtube, I only wish Ms Springfield was still with us to see what an enormous impact she truly had on popular music.

Groove,
I've just bought a copy of this fantastic DVD and it's region 0 (worldwide)
There's some brand new interviews with Burt, and incredible "rare" performances from
Dusty !!!
It also includes "A House Is Not A Home" (with Burt at the piano) as one of the "bonus" tracks !!!
What more could any "Bacharachian" ask for ? :D
