Can you imagine being Steve Gunderson and getting a call from Burt?!?!!

One thing didn't make sense to me. It's this sentence: "Gunderson and Najimy met with Bacharach and his lawyer at the Los Angeles office of BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.). " I find it hard to believe that Burt would be at the offices of BMI because Burt is definitely an ASCAP member. Hal was the President of ASCAP. So I have to believe that the writer got this all wrong. Anyone?
