Re: "Move It On The Backbeat"
What a great find! I suppose it means that whatever the obscure Bacharach song, chances are we may find it on YouTube now.
So Burt was already producing in 1961? That's what it says there. But did Burt not say it started with a specific record by Chuck Jackson? And didn't that record come out later? I'm confused.

Thanks, blue, for posting these links. I just LOVE listening to Chuck Jackson sing "Any Day Now". It's such a great and timeless song and Chuck Jackson can really sing.blueonblue wrote:The "other" song............

In this video, please look at Burt's 4th finger on his right hand. It looks to me as if that finger has a band-aid on it... or is that just the light? (Burt! Please be careful!)

Yes, blue, I (also?) believe there's lingering doubt as to that 1961 mention to Burt as arranger and producer of MIOTBackbeat and what it meant for the Bacharach-Chuck Jackson turning point.
Of couse, if Burt meant to to be precise, and not just provide a clear evidence of how he turned things around, we would have to take him at his word and understand that something is wrong about that attribution on the single MIOTB.
I am impressed at how you focused on this to provide such specific and directly relevant information! Thank you so much! It was very nice to read the the additional info next to the Lover video and the radio host's commentary at the end of that same video. The commentary is inconsistent whith the credits given by the person who posted the video, as according to the former Burt produced Lover (Hunt), and according to the the latter, Luther Dixon did. I take it that the radio host is mistaken.
I am thinking of what Burt said he learned from Marlene Dietrich. She apparently wasn't one to compromise on quality and give up on what she thought necessary to do things right.
