Reading this long forum site of PASSIONATE fans on the DVD issue, boy, what a divergent group of opinions about this film,, one thing though, is they all
find this film fascinating, for various reasons....The film is a classic because of the oddness of the combination of camp(unintentional)and enjoyability...see, Burt, I told you way back when, in your driveway on Lime Orchard Rd. almost 40 years ago,it would someday be a classic!
Now it is, for various reasons...partially because of the stories about the money Columbia put into it, and then the execs went south on it, but also for its strangeness.....I personally love the songs for this film...I have not seen the entire film, but clips of it on youtube...which I enjoyed...SO will probably order the dvd...now that it's out.
