It's a bit like Dionne's new CD .. the opinions of we die hard fans should be included on the decision making panels!! Looking at the Gershwin prize decision makers ie the video posted after yours, one wonders whether the man in question would be able to tell his Aretha from his Elvis!?

@gillanddon: Elvis Costello and the Imposters are on a sold-out European tour playing a different city every night until the end of June.

In making the selection for the prize, the Librarian of Congress turned for advice to leading members of the music and entertainment communities. The 2012 award advisory committee consisted of Elvis Costello, Bobette Dudley, Paul McCartney, Rickey Minor, Paul Simon, Lee Ann Womack and Steve Wonder.
