Ran into a profile of Bell Records on the web today..some of you may know that in the discography of early Bell from the 50's, Burt Bacharach was hired to provide orchestral arrangements and to conduct for certain singers on that label...
Bell was started by Arthur Shimkin(1922-2006) of NYC, who brainchilded Little Golden Records (remember those little yellow kiddie records?)for Simon and Schuster in 1948...
Anyway, the profile was interesting reading, as Bell went through several owners and machinations throught the 50s, 60s, and 70s..
