I thought maybe Tonio K wrote the lyrics with Burt? (They both get credit for the song.)

I asked because in the original post it is as if burt had written both music and lyrics to Who Are These People, a song he co-authored with Tonio K.


Which leads me to another question -- who are these people: Tonio K and P. Board, Burt's co-writers (Tonio K in all songs)?

On the BBC interview, Burt mentioned that he had written the lyrics to many of these songs himself, doing so for the first time in his career. Are the Tonio K co-credits confirmed yet, or perhaps preliminary information?

Even Mr. David on his best day wouldn't have tackled anything as risky as: " LOOKS LIKE THESE LIARS MAY INHERIT THE EARTH PRETENDING TO PRAY AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT". It takes a lot of chutzpah to call attention to the hypocrisy of George Bush (and lets not fool ourselves about who he is referring to in this line). Kudos Mr. Bacharach. We can only hope other atists follow your lead.

God bless you Burt, for your feelings and not holding back to express them. Just as you did some years ago, composing together with Hal,2wonderfull songs - THE WINDOWS OF THE WORLD and BE AWERE.
Yes my dear Maestro, That's simply what you have done composing AT THIS TIME. I can't wait to hear and have your latest compositions. Last but not least, it would be wonderfull if you'd get Barbra Steisand to record
with you Be awere,once and for all.It's one of the best songs ever written for her, but it was never recorded. It only apperared in one of Burt's s TV Shows , some 30 years ago.

It will be interesting to see what the main-stream media does with this new LP. This forum certainly hasn't been this heated or active in many a moon. I suspect Mr. B will gather quiet a bit of publicity from the controversial nature of his lyrics. Hopefully, we can keep one another informed of any media attention he gathers from this much anticipated effort.
