Rome concert

Post by nowmedical »

This was a really fun concert, with an end-of-a-long-tour kind of feel, held outdoors at the marvellous ruined Roman amphitheatre at Ostia Antica. Perfect size for a Burt concert, lovely balmy warm evening, everything was just fine.
Congrats to the Italian fan club who unfurled a huge BB banner at the front of the stage before the concert and during the Raindrops encore - caused much mirth onstage particularly from Burt. The occasional plane flying in to Rome airport seemed to add to the off-beat nature of the show.

Had pizza and beer in the town square afterwards till 1 am. Sort of night that only comes along once in a while.
