Chris,
Thank you for the "heads up"....let's hope we get to hear all the new Bacharach songs. :D

(hope they don't "edit" them out)

Thanks for the link. Its a good concert. One of the new songs is included - "With a Voice" at about 1:13 into the broadcast.

If the Radio 2 producer hadn't decided to feature the three hit records at the start of the program there would have been more than enough time to include the two Melody Federer songs.

This broadcast was a recording of the second of the two evenings at the Festival Hall, but at the show I attended I'd say that section with Melody Federer, taking In Bacharach's guest introduction, her preambles - both quite long at the show I attended - and the two songs themselves, probably amounted in total to not much less than 15 minutes. Perhaps the radio producer just couldn't find a way to edit the introductions satisfactorily so consequently the section was deemed to be several minutes too long, hence its axing from the broadcast and replacement by those three records at the top of the show.

Here are excerpts from Melody Federer's performances of 'Bridges' and 'Blanket Capes' from one of Bacharach's Royal Festival Hall shows in July. As you'll see, for both of these songs she was accompanied solely by Bacharach at the piano.
