Burt's Thoroughbred One Off

One Off, a 6 year-old gelding and turf specialist owned by Jane and Burt Bacharach, is favored to win the $250,000 Bob Umphrey Turf Marathon today at Calder racecourse in Miami.

I don't know where Burt will be this afternoon, but if he isn't in Florida for the race, my guess is he'll be watching it via satellite at Del Mar.

All of Calder's turf races were rained off the turf course this afternoon and Burt and Jane's horse, One Off, was scratched. Better, drier race days ahead...
