Dear Gabba, Being such a huge fan of everything Johnny Mathis does, I'll be very curious to hear his version of "Walk on By" because in 1967 on his album "Love Is Blue", he recorded his "first" version of this classic song. And what a version!! With a superb arrangement by the great Robert Mersey, I thought it rivaled Ms. Warwick's original version. I don't know how he can top that 40 year-old version so I can't wait to hear what he has done 40 years later, and I wonder why he chose to re-do this particular song when there are so many to choose from in the Bacharach-David songbook? Was he unhappy with the 1967 version? Or, does he think that this is just a great song?
