Hello -
Am new to the Discussion Forum.
Have been a big Bacharach fan since the 1960s.
So much great music recorded and performed by so many wonderful artists over the years.
I had the privilege of seeing Burt Bacharach at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (his opening act was The Carpenters) in 1970-71.
With the release of so much classic specials from the 60s and 70s being released now on DVD (The Streisand Specials, The Barry Manilow Specials, etc.), does anyone know if there are any plans to release Burt Bacharach's first TV specials on DVD?
I see snippets from them on YouTube, but it would be nice to be able to purchase them. And also only fair to Mr. Bacharach that he should profit from their viewing.
Thank you very much.
Rick

Re: Plans to release specials on DVD?
Hi,
You might try checking the website http://www.kinevideo.com
He has a myriad of old TV shows, including some BB specials, which he converts to DVD's.
Good luck !

Are you sure that is the right address?
Maybe is http://www.kinevideo.net/
"net" instead of "com"
Anyway, I always check that site and there is only the "On the Flip Side" program that is Bacharach-related. A degraded copy but nice to have it anyway.
I haven't seen any of the BB Specials there.
Sorry if you are talking about a different site....
