Bacharach Piano Concerto
The Minnesota Orchestra recently played a piano concerto written by Leroy Anderson at its Sommerfest summer music festival in celebration of Anderson's centennial. I found this seldom-played composition to be an enjoyable respite from the usual, atonal late 20th century music that orchestral audiences are frequently force-fed. I seem to recall a reference to a piano concerto written by Burt Bacharach; however, even a GOOGLE search for "Bacharach Piano Concerto" does not yield any results. Leroy Anderson's piano concerto is seldom played because it was not well-received by a contemporary orchestral musical establishment that looks down on "accessible", melodic music. Is the same true of the Bacharach piano concerto? Are there any recordings of the Bacharach piano concerto? Where can I find more information about this composition?

Re: Bacharach Piano Concerto
I seem to recall reading that Burt wrote some classical things in college at McGill university....or some of the other colleges he attended, but I''m not aware of any "piano concerto"..just the "suite for orchestra"..
