Dear Mark, I hope you can help me to publish on the site what follows, since my registation to the Forum seems to be unabled.
Claudio Novelli, one of the italian Burt's fans - who also plays jazz - is setting up - next August the17th 2008 - a musical tribute for the Maestro's 80th birthday.
The event will take place in Tuscany: the location will be Nocchi, on the out-skirts of Camaiore, Lucca's district. The event will start in Nocchi at 6:30 p.m. at the restaurant "Bernardone", the location is in the beatiful tuscan country side (Versilia) In valley between a green hills landscape. The restaurant is surrounded by meadows, and stands as a solid country house, by a water stream. This is the location where the event will take place. The heart of it will be a piano and voice concert preformed by Piero Frassi and Michela Lombardi, who's professional credits can be found on the web easly. Anyway they are long time jazz preformers together with Claudio - for many years and the are also great fans of Burt. They have his music in repertoire. After at least an hour and a half of music hopefully more, a dinner will be served with tipical country dishes. Each of the participants shall pay a reasonable price for the dinner.

We all hope that it will be a memorable event. Mario Serra, Roberto Pinardi, Armando Gabba, Robert Passera, Davide Bonori and all the band of the italian fans of Burt will be there.

i apologize enourmosly not to be able to attend at that beautiful evening to celebrate BURT!!!
my work schedule is imposing me to be in Trieste for rehearsals starting the tour in Cyprus...i'll be there with you with my soul and my deepest affection...so cheers to everyone and a special hug to Mario serra who's always been kind to me!!!

Thanks so much for that information! I am always impressed by the interest and fervor of the Burt fans from Italy! You all have such a history of appreciation for the arts; when you take note of Burt and his magical talent, it's a sure sign that he's got it! I wish I could be in Tuscany for the grand event.
