Burt at work

Post by Werner »

I really enjoyed the videos in wich Burt is working with the kids on The world is a circle and the video in wich Burt is working with Dionne on Loneliness remembers. Does anyone have more suggestions on material in wich Burt is working on songs or in the studio ?! I love to see how the music develops and of course his influence on that development. Thanks for the suggestions!
Werner.

There's a wonderful disc in private circulation of BB & EC working on "God Give Me Strength" -- Bacharach's mastery in the studio recalls that of the driven, young Brian Wilson as heard on the PET SOUNDS session tapes. No wonder BB was such an inspiration to BW -- now if only we can get those last 2 of their collaborations recorded and/or released!

You got me curious, now.

You probably remember the BBC special "This Is Now", at the end of which (at least as shown on PBS; I'm not sure it was part of the BBC special) EC says there was a parade of musicians, each playing his part separately, and Burt saying one could get addicted to the kind of perfection achieveable that way.

Maybe I'm missing a rather obvious possibility, but I have to ask: how do we square these two things?
