NME's 100 Greatest Albums Of The Decade

Post by Rio »

New Music Express: magazine comes out tomorrow with list.

(at the beginning of the text, if you would like to watch videos of each band)

I seem to have read that the band White Stripes mentions Burt as a major influence. I believe something to that effect has been attributed to Blur also. They have albums on the top 20.

I didn't delve into any of this. There might exist something more interesting somewhere.

If you're interested, not only does NME seem to have a reader's poll, but if you go here

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/i ... he-decade/

before Monday, November 30th, you can look for

"Click here for the Readers’ Poll ballot"

and vote.

As usual, I'm just trying to provide some "just in case" info.

Everyone and their mother considers Burt an influence -- except the R&R Hall of Fame and the Kennedy Center Honors.
