Does anyone know of a recording made by the Werner Twardy Orchestra of 'The Look Of Love'?
This is a full orchestra piece with saxophone. It pre dates 1975 is the only clue I have and could be on the Screen Gems Label.
Any help so very much appreciated as this will solve a 30 year mystery.
Thanks,
Gary.

Here is a link to a mono version I have of this track:

Have a listen, and can any help identify the LP this is from, or if it is really by Werner Twardy Orchestra.
Many Thanks
Gary.

Re: Werner Twardy Recording
Gary,
The authority in such matters is of course Serene Dominic's book, and on pages 183 and 184 he lists no less than nine (9) orchestras that have recorded The Look of Love.
Sadly,
1 I have never heard any of these nine recordings, and
2 the Werner Twardy Orchestra is not mentioned (although several of them were pre-1975 as you mention)
Can anyone name any of the orchestras in question, without looking it up?

"The Look of Love" is listed to TW Ardy and is on the compilation album, "HiFi Stereo Happy Dancing" on the Polydor (German) label, 2371-283, vinyl that is, released in 1972.
Re: Werner Twardy Recording
Thank you for the Information. I have a feeling that the information I have regarding this recording could be wrong. I can find no trace anywhere that Werner Twardy recorded this track. The only positive proof I have is that this mono recording was made before 1975.nowmedical wrote:Gary,

Can you find the names of those other nine orchestras for me? If it is not one of them, then I am totally baffled.
Re: Werner Twardy Recording
You are quite correct, but this is a version he played on the organ, not with his full orchestra.grooverider wrote:"The Look of Love" is listed to TW Ardy and is on the compilation album, "HiFi Stereo Happy Dancing" on the Polydor (German) label, 2371-283, vinyl that is, released in 1972.
