Anyone checked out Starbucks' new Bacharach offering, which appears to be another compilation of the usual suspects? Just curious as to whether any of the cuts offer studio intros, extended or alternate takes or anything otherwise collectable.

Re: Starbucks' new Bacharach compilation CD
Haven't seen one of these compilations in a long long time! ...... Obviously targeting the casual listener - I doubt there is anything collectable here!
Re: Starbucks' new Bacharach compilation CD
Must be selling pretty well, hitting number 59 on the Top 200 ablums this week.

Although I am not familiar with VVN Music sales rankings - it's quite impressive! .... Perhaps such a product will spark further interest in Bacharach's music. .... Hope it makes it to the Billboard charts!

More details on The Maestro's new compilation here:

Ron, the CD did, indeed, make it to the Billboard chart at No. 59 (the same info VVN was reporting):

Great news, no?
All best,
Joe

Joe:
Great news? ... YES! ... and one of the best overviews of a compilation project I have ever read. (Accurate and Concise) ... The "coffee house crowd" may be on the brink of discovering what we have known for years - nothing compares to Bacharach's body of work!
Thanks for posting these links Joe!
