Having just listened to the Reach Out album for the first time in ages, I was struck by the jazz quality of "Lisa", a song I`ve never heard recorded by any singer but ripe for an interpretation by any contemporary trumpeter. I indicate trumpet mostly because Miles famously loved "Alfie" (although never recorded it).
Any takers?

Blair, What a great idea! That particular track caught my ear the very first time I heard it. Did not know that about Miles. My pick for "Lisa" would be the one and only Mark Isham. I can picture him in the studio with Burt doing not only that one but others as well.

Always reminds me of the great Henry Mancini.
