When I first heard this melody, I liked it. Yet, the more often I listen to it the more it strikes me as just being treacly. I feel like I`m being force-fed a tablespoon full of white sugar. I`m still eager to hear the whole soundtrack, but this is being over-sold.

Listening to the song it strikes me how difficult it must be to write a truly original tune these days and there's a part of this one that's not dissimilar to 'Can't Smile Without You' as sung by Barry Manilow. Still, it has an attractive chorus and it's a pity it isn't repeated near the end.
